Safeguarding at The Hall Practice

At The Hall Practice, the health, safety, and well-being of every patient is our top priority. We expect all staff to share this commitment to safeguarding our patients. Safeguarding is a fundamental part of our practice, and we take it very seriously. Our team is trained to identify and respond to potential safeguarding concerns, whether they involve children, young people, or adults with care and support needs.

Safeguarding involves protecting individuals from abuse, neglect, and other forms of harm. It includes ensuring that our patients are safe from physical, emotional, or psychological harm, and that their rights are respected and protected.

  • : All our staff undergo regular training in Child and Adult Safeguarding. They are trained to identify signs of harm or neglect and know how to report these concerns to the appropriate authorities.

  • : We handle sensitive information with care and only share it with authorized agencies when necessary to protect our patients. We follow procedures laid down by the Buckinghamshire Area Safeguarding Team.

  • : We work closely with local authorities, social services, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support for those at risk.

  • : We listen to our patients, relatives, and carers, taking seriously what they tell us. We encourage patients and their families to report any concerns they may have about their safety or well-being.

  • : Staff are required to report concerns to the Practice Safeguarding Lead or directly to the local safeguarding team where appropriate. We ensure that all concerns are discussed with parents/carers of a child or the adult patient first, unless doing so may be contrary to an individual’s welfare.

  • : Dr Katherine Yeomans is our designated Safeguarding Lead, responsible for overseeing safeguarding activities and ensuring our practice meets all safeguarding standards.

  • : Dr Nicola Turner supports Dr Yeomans in this role, providing additional expertise and ensuring continuity in safeguarding efforts.
